The brief was to generate C-suite leads for Singapore, a country largely reliant on foreign investment for the creation of wealth, jobs and trade. Not just any C-suites, but the busiest, hardest-to-get CEOs, CMOs, CTOs, CFOs and CIOs of Fortune 500 companies in North America. These guys are typically guarded by drivers, personal assistants and secretaries, so getting an ounce of their time is never easy.
So we stalked (yes stalked) them across a list of conferences happening in North America, and bought out the coffee sponsorship at each of these events, replacing the coffee with a machine that took us 3 months to realise from concept to production.
Word of our crazy caffeine invention got out quickly, with many CEOs themselves, tweeting pictures of the experience. As the machine travelled around the country, it became evident that The Coffee Connector was a valuable tool for lead generation, providing our client’s sale-force with valuable insight and leap-frogging the traditional CRM process to accelerate the qualification of quality leads.
